Black swan: a large-impact, hard-to-predict, and rare event beyond the realm of normal expectations. Every organization has black swans that push the things forward. This is where such people convene to support each other and grow.

Black Swans, by definition are disruptive.  We don't always agree with each other - indeed we shouldn't, if we want true discussion. But we love to engage in healthy debate and always do our best for our learners. We love PROGRESS.

The best part: as a quasi-secret society, we get to hang out with people who understand our motivations and our passions.
Some areas are open to non-members. We invite you to look around. If you think the Black Swan Society is a good fit for your active membership, take a second to complete the questions and post a representative avatar in the membership request. Let us know how you found out about us.
Active membership includes posting and/or commenting at least once a week. There are lots of ways to do this, as this community has blogs, wikis, member pages and discussion boards.

Discussion

We don't always agree - indeed we shouldn't, if we want true discussion. But we love to share healthy debate, and hang as much as possible, and always do our best for our learners. And the best part is - we get to hang out with people who understand our motivations and our passions.
My first comment on the changes we have been invited to feedback on is that the page doesn't open in Firefox. I just get an error message: DB Error: connect failed. I had to fire up IE to view it, and I can't remember the last time I used IE.

Also, there is a change in font size after the first sentence of the first para. The line spacing on the second para seems different from the first, too.
Excellent addition, Steve. I totally missed the comment last week. Added.
Karyn, the issue with the DB Error isn't a browser thing -- it's a site thing, and it's pretty unpredictable, unfortunately. Thanks for the attention to the font size and spacing -- that should be normalized with this edit.
Looking good now.... and I was able to open it in FF!
I like how this turned out. Healtht debate is essential for making this group a truly valuable resurce.
